This role is responsible for ensuring all tenement applications and associated statutory compliance reporting for the Tampakan Copper - Gold Project are managed and maintained in good standing.
Key responsibilities :
Develop, implement, and ensure maintenance of an effective system and appropriate registers to track and manage existing and future tenements applications.
Manage the application and renewal processes for tenements with MGB and other government agencies to secure appropriate government approvals on time to support the ongoing requirements of the Tampakan Copper - Gold Project.
Organize the conduct of Free and Prior Informed Consent (FPIC) and public consultation activities to facilitate signing of Memorandum of Agreements (MoA) and Certification Precondition (CP) with Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICCs) involved in the tenement application.
Ensure all documentation requirements for tenement applications, memorandum of agreements, and statutory reports are prepared, consolidated, and reviewed as to accuracy and completeness prior to submission.
Manage the implementation of the compliance database procedures to ensure regulatory reports for the Project are completed within agreed standards and timelines.
Liaise with internal units to ensure activity reports are prepared and collated as planned.
Key requirements :
Any bachelors degree; educational background in Law is an advantage
At least three (3) years experience in facilitating tenements application for mining operations
Sound understanding of mining tenements application requirements and processes
Familiar with FPIC processes and community consultation activities
Has an established network with government agencies, particularly DENR, NCIP and their associated units
Proficient in the use of MS Office applications
Excellent skills in oral and written communication, ability
Demonstrated planning and organisation skills with keen attention to detail
